I awoke to the sound of screaming again. This time it was coming from in the kitchen, which is unusual. Normally my mother gets beat in her bedroom. Most times I told myself that she dissevered what she got, she wasn’t the best at picking out the right guys, but this time is sounded serious. I heard drawers being slammed shut and I got up.
